Prenatal Vitamin Question
Hi ladies! Today I went to the Dr. and got my prenatal vitamins and am all set to go off BC at the end of this month! I was an avid LIW poster, but am in hiding! Sorry!
I had a question about when to start the vitamins. Should I take them now or wait until I'm off BC?

welcome!! what uyear did u get married? i was an avid liw girl also. 07 here. anyways, to answer ur question, def start now. cant hurt. the vitamins are always good for u... good luck and may you get your bfp soon!!!!

My doctor had me take them for three months before I went off the pill, so I think you could start now.

Every dr. is different. Mine told me to start them when I stopped the pill...up until that point he said to make sure I was taking a regular multivitamin every day.

You should definitely start now. Most doctors will recommend that you take 800 mcgs of Folic Acid 2-3 months before starting TTC. You can take just the supplement of Folic Acid, or take the prenatals which have it already.

Welcome! I'm an 09 bride and posted on LIW... I would start them now it can't hurt...I have been taking a multivitamin for about 2 months now.

I'd check with your Dr. and see what he or she recommends.
Most Dr.'s encourage folks to take a multi vitamin regardless of TTC. Best of luck to you!
