Preparing for Memorial Day Party - Mosquito Related
a close friend of mine has an annual Memorial Day Party every year. Her backyard has a good amount of foliage and is close to the water. It attracts a fair amount of mosquitos and I have been known to get eaten up. What do I do with DS? He will be 7 1/2 months at the party. While I can buy a mosquito net to put over his infant carrier (which will be in the snap and go) is there a child friendly insect repellant I can use? Was also thinking maybe a pack n play would be better. Do they have nets to go over that? Anyone have other ideas?

I say put something over his stroller that will protect him. I believe some sunscreens have insect repellent, but check on the label and get the baby sunscreen of course.
Also, remember not to put any strong smelling lotion on him b4 you go. Something with no scent.

I have gotten insect repellent ( I believe child safe for children 6months +) at BRU....
Otherwise something else I have done, is bought those "OFF" bracelets and put them on the stroller..
I have also hear that mosquitos don't like fans, so maybe put a small fan near him ???

I actually bought bug repellent bracelets at one of the Dr.s I take Christopher to. There is no DEET in it and it is all natural, so we will see if they work.
or we use Skin so soft.

I use California Baby bug repellant, it's all-natural...though I've never really been somewhere super-buggy to truly test the effectiveness.
I agree about hanging the bracelets over the stroller or whatever he's in...good idea!
They DO make netting that goes over PNPs, I know that.

Re: Preparing for Memorial Day Party - Mosquito Related
My mom swears by Hibiscus lotion from bath and body works, but I couldn't find it.
So last summer when we went away to Jamaica, I went to Bath and Body works and asked them what else they would suggest. They suggested the Cool Citrus Basil Body Lotion link .
We put this on ourselves and DS every night and never got a mosquito bite. The other people in our group however got bit uncontrollably. We were handing out our lotion constantly by the end of the trip.
It works!!!!
