Presurgical Testing...
I have to go for Presurgical testing this week in preperation of my c-section on Monday.
I don't remember back to 6.5 years ago...
Can anyone tell me what presurgical testing entails?

Just bloodwork? Do they look at or monitor the baby? I'm curious - I'll be delivering at NS Manhasset.

Just paperwork and only one vial of blood and a urine sample. I was in and out. Good luck on Monday

Nope they dont look at or monitor the baby. Just bloodwork and urine sample.

I didn't have to do it. But I guess my case was a little different. While I wasn't a true "emergency c/s", I went in and was admitted the same day. When I got there, they did hook me up to monitors, I had to give a urine sample in a little vial and when they hooked up my IV, they took blood. I had to wait until the lab came back with my blood work before they would take me to the OR. I assume the million questions they asked me too will be covered before hand.

Just got back from the hospital for my Presurgical testing...
They took 5 vials of blood....(only one stick)
I peed in a cup
They took me in the room and asked some questions, listened to my heart and lungs, and took my BP...
It took about an hour but that was mostly because I was waiting to go in!
