A lot of the blind item websites were claiming last week that he had AIDS and had stopped taking his meds - which is why he had to emergency land his plane. And that he didn't have much time. He also told people "to wait a few days before wasting prayers." Some are even linking his death to Vanity, she died of respiratory problems and supposedly was HIV positive as well. Some think he may have committed suicide.
All speculation, but sad nonetheless. He was a true artist and visionary. He will be missed.
Yes I read something about a cryptic post he made on Instagram recently?

That is sadly exactly what I just was saying. I'm a huge Prince fan but I was wondering if he maybe had HIV since he was pretty young to just suddenly die, especially from the flu. Yes, it happens but typically a healthy 57 year old adult isn't going to just die like that.

I just heard on Sirius that he was at the pharmacy a few times this week so he was there getting some type of meds.

This made more sense to me although I know you can die from the flu. My uncle actually died from the flu because he has AIDs and his immune system was shot. He didn't got to the doctor so didn't no he had the flu. It was suddenly and sad because he was at my sons party a few days before saying he had a cold.

I just read on fox5 that it was a possible overdose and that the emergency landing was for what they called a "save shot"

He had epilepsy and was supposedly taking heavy doses of tamiflu, which can be a deadly combo. I guess only time will tell the real story.
