Poor girl!!!! Like being compared to the dead mom is not enough. She got the ring, now she got to get the same pics. Don't forget the same color outfit!!!

I must be alone in thinking that Diana is not as beautiful as everyone else makes her to be. Beautiful person, perhaps. Beautiful - not so much.
Kate, on the other hand, is gorgeous.

Eh...I feel like that is a very "typical" engagement pic pose. Plus, I don't feel so sorry for her at all. She has been with this guy for many years...she knows exactly what she's getting into.
And to respond to PP who said they don't think Diana was so beautiful. I agree...I was discussing this with a coworker just the other day...we both agree she wasn't all that beautiful.

William is starting to look more like his dad.
I think Diana grew into a more beautiful woman. She was full of style and grace.

See the differences in those two pictures are what makes her relationship with him NOT like that of Diana and Charles.
Look at his hand - hugging her close.
Look at his father's - formal on the shoulder.
William and Kate - pressed together
Diana and Charles - little space between the heads
I just think Kate and William actually look like they are in love in this picture.

Yes, I agree to the difference. They do look more in love. But really, this is a bit creepy to do similar shots of them. I think it would be "healthier" if they got their "own" stuff.

I think Diana became much more beautiful as she got older... she was only 19 in this picture, but I've seen pictures of her in her thirties & she was stunning!!!
Kate of course is gorgeous too!!!
It is a little weird how similar the two pictures are when you look at them side by side, but I agree that it's a common engagement pose.

I think it was probably one of a few different "typical" engagement photo poses. And you can feel that Kate and William have more warmth for each other in the picture, you can see the happiness come through in their faces, where it looks a little "posed" with Charles and Diana.
