Probably has been asked before...stopping the PIO shots...

Ok, my question - I am supposed to take my last PIO injection tomorrow. I've been doing 1mL/ night. I read on some other sites that people weaned off of it, for ex. cut back to .5mL before stopping or did it every other day. My RE did not tell me to do any of that, just to take it through 10/23. I am 10 weeks today. I guess I am accepting the fact I am going off of it and it's in God's hands but should I really stop cold turkey? Did you girls on here do that as well?? Thanks...

Oh and for the record my P levels have ranged from 19.5 to 31.5 was the most recent one...I had my first OB appt on 10/16 and they didn't even check it...

i stopped pio and supps cold turkey at 12 weeks

I stopped PIO injections cold turkey at 12 weeks also. Dr told me by that point your body should be producing enough progesterone to not need to medication anymore.

I stopped PIO at 9 weeks, but stayed on suppositories until 14 weeks.

My RE wants me to stop at 10 weeks 2 days but I plan on going a bit more since I have l will have leftover PIO that would be wasted plus it will make me feel better to go another week or so...I was told by 10 weeks your placenta is producing progesterone.
