progesterone after IUI
why do some women take progesterone and other dont?
I had an IUI on 1/5.
If I was to take progesterone when should i have started taking?

I took it because after my first IUI I started bleeding a week after. I had my progesterone levels drawn and they were very low. It was determined I needed "help" with my progesterone with supplements.
IF this is something that was needed, you would start taking it the day after the IUI.

how do they determine if its needed?
i had blood drawn on tuesday 1 week after and have to go back tomorrow for more blood. But they don't give me any answers.
I started to get really sore boobs on Tuesay One week after IUI?
Can this be a side effect of all the medicine or a sign of pregnancy. Did your IUI work did you have any symptoms.

If you went one week after for bloodwork, they did your progesterone level. Did they call you with the results? I am sure if it was too low they would have called you to tell you to go on supplements.
I did IUI twice and conceived both times. THe first time ended in miscarriage, and the second time I had twins.

I had just had an IUI and my doctor does not want to see me for 2 weeks. Is that weird that he is not checking my progesterone?

For my 1st few IUI's, I didn't use the progesterone. Then, I had a chemical pregnancy so the dr put me on progesterone to help a pregnancy "stick." The dr usually monitors your progesterone levels and will let u know if it's a bit low and u should give it a try. I always started it 2 days after an IUI.
