progesterone levels at 5 weeks?
Dr office called and said my blood work came back normal for HCG and progesterone. My porg level was a 6.9 I just read online that this is low for 5 weeks - what do you girls think? Dr himself isn't in until tomorrow but I left a message for him to call me back.

Re: progesterone levels at 5 weeks?
Mine was at 16.5 around 5-6 weeks. Another blood test showed it dropped to 16 and I had some spotting so they put me on progesterone supplements as a precaution.
You may need the supplements.

I remember before I had the blood work my doctor said anything over 10 he would be happy with.....
But if you aren't having any problems (I had spotting) then go with what your DR is telling you. When is next blood work?

Re: progesterone levels at 5 weeks?
Under 10 is low, and while many OBs are happy with 10, my perinatologist supplements anything under 20. I would follow up with your OB and ask about supps.

Under 10 is considered low. Are they having you come back in 48 hours for repeat bloodwork? Repeat bloodwork should show the increase of hcg and will help them determine how to proceed with the progesterone. If it increases no problem but if it stays at that level they should put you on suppositories
My progesterone never got above a 1.8 - I got suppositories and am currently nursing my healthy son

You should be on supps if it's under 10. Demand it. It can't hurt being on it, but it can certainly hurt not being on it.

Under 10 is low. Ask for supplements. Mine was around 20 at 5 weeks, and I was on supplements to help that (crinone, which isn't reflected in blood levels).

progesterone levels at 5 weeks?
I called my dr and expressed my concern. He told me that he was not concerned especially since my hcg went from 700-5600 in 5 days. I regretting even asking for the numbers in the first place. I asked about prog suppositories and again he said not necessary. I don't know what to do.

My doctor never measured anything other then HCG levels. I would trust your doctor if they feel comfortable with your numbers. Not everyone needs progesterone.

Re: progesterone levels at 5 weeks?
I had low progesterone levels with prior pregnancies (10-11ish) but my OBs never wanted to give me supps and always told me I didnt need them. I had 3 mc last year. I started supps at 3dpo with this pregnancy and am now 24.5 weeks along. it cant hurt, but could help...
