Prometrium
I had a M/C and D&C on 2/9/07 and my cycle is still not regular. I haven't had AF in 46 days so my Dr is putting me on Prometrium.
Has anyone taken this? I am starting it tonight. What kind of side effects did you experience?

same here. I did take provera which gave me mood swings. DH calls it the "b!tch pill," lol.

i took prometrium (3 pills a day) b/c I had low progesterone when i first became pregnant, i found that i bloated easy (although my doctor had said its not a side effect) as did my friend who just had IVF, and got pregnant and is taking it now. I had bad m/s and also found it made me more nauseous, honestly i just didn't feel good overall on it, but it was needed and i would do it again in a second if i had to but everyone is different, hopefully it will be fine for you, oh my friend thinks it made her appetite bigger but i didn't have that

I took it to try and get AF, I do not remember any side effects though, it was one of my easier meds for sure.

I am on it now for pregnancy. I take 200mg orally at night. It makes me real sleepy and a little nauseus. That is why I take it at night.

Thank you ladies! I started it last night. I have to take 400mg at night (b/c of the sleepiness side effect) for 10 days to bring on AF. Then I just hope I ovulate!
Do you know, does this effect the thickness of the uterin lining at all? Is it safe/not safe to get pregnant the cycle after taking it? My doctor says I can, I'm just curious how it affects the lining.
