PSA - Best newborn toy ever!
At 8 weeks old my mom bought dd the fisher price kick & play piano. She is now 5.5months and still loves it.
Because the baby can kick I found it was something for my 8 week old "to do". Also with all the kicking I felt she got her fitness on a bit, and then got tired and fell asleep nicely.
As the weeks went on she learned to bat at the toys and now uses them to pull herself sideways. There is a mirror and she loves to talk to the baby in the mirror.
It also can convert into a toy for an older child and isn't that much money. Maybe $45? Best.money.ever.spent. Just wanted to pass along the info for all moms who have a newborn and wonder what to do to entertain them.

We have the kicky play mat with piano AND a kick and play piano for the crib. Twin 2 loves the crib toy. Both love the mat.

Thanks! We got one from Santa for my now-2-month old, and wasn't sure when to bring it out. I will set it up!

2 out of 4 of my kids loved it. It depends on the kid. But the ones who loved it, would stay there forever and kick kick kick!!

My 15 month old twins still play with it. they like to name the animals and dance to the songs. Sometimes it is just on the floor, or I tie it to the play pen. It is a GREAT all round toy that they have been using for over a year.

Thank you so much for posting this. I just bought it for my 9 week old baby and she LOVES it. She's been kicking and laughing at herself for the past hour. She wasn't a huge fan of her other mat, so happy to have a new option.
