PSA - Don't Sweat the Small Stuff

I'm really shook up and upset about this so I just wanted to share. i just found out that one of the secretaries in the main office of my school - her husband died of a massive heart attack this morning after she had already left for school. He was 50 years old. No warning, no nothing. What if they had a fight last night? Were pizzed at each other? She has kids in high school and in middle school.

Let's do our best to appreciate out lives, love our DH's, SO's, families, friends, etc - even when they pizz us off! Tell them how much you love them - always!!!

I also just saw a 2 period assembly with a young man who has HIV - he was a very powerful speaker, and could relate to the kids as i've never seen a speaker do before.

Appreciate your life.Chat Icon

Very very true. I get obsessive about stupid things, and in my life I have many reasons to be thankful.

Well said, mamma!

I couldn't agree more. I try to let those that I love know every day how I feel about them, regardless of the little inconsequential things.

Re: PSA - Don't Sweat the Small Stuff

thats why DH and I always say I love you before we go to bed and he always kisses me goodbye in the morning says I love you..

Yeah I got a little pizzed at him last night for something, but it wasn't a big deal and I did not go to bed angry. I won't do that.

Very well said -

an important note - Don't ever go to bed angry with one another, my friends husband died of an anuerisym in his sleep after they had had a stupid argument over nothing.

Re: PSA - Don't Sweat the Small Stuff

OMG Chat Icon HOW SAD

Sounds like my uncle.. AND it's so true. That night my dad and I had a fight. My aunt and uncle left and I was to busy sitting in the back room crying that I didn't even come out to say goodbye...

After we lost him my cousins and I have thrown all the dumb petty fights out the window. It's just not worth you never know one day you are here the next you might not be Chat Icon

Re: PSA - Don't Sweat the Small Stuff

I agree. A little girl in my school was killed last year. Her death really affected me more than anything because it made me realize how precious life is and it made me realize that you never know what tomorrow might bring; so to appreciate all that you have.
