PSA: Social Security cards - replace your lost one asap.
Just hired ANOTHER new employee that has no social security card. Great. You can work for us but we cannot pay you.
So here is my PSA, if you are looking for a job, applying for new jobs, etc. & cannot locate your social security card, you will need that on your first day of employment.

you can use your passport though, right? or no? either way i think one should have a SS card

You can use your passport for the I-9 form but we will need to take a copy of your social security card.
