Social Security cards..
How long did it take for you to get your DC's?
My son is 6 weeks old and I still haven't gotten it. The hospital filed for it for us...or so I was told..my DH swore he checked off the box to have them do that...
eta: got his birth certificate weeks ago...

I didn't get mine until DS was about 4 months old. Someone in NC misplaced all his paperwork. I had to go to the office with him and get a new one. After that I had it in 5 days.

We picked up his birth certificate when he waas 5months old.

I got the SS card pretty quickly (but couldn't say exactly when) - the birth certificate took much longer.

We got it between 4-6 weeks. The birth certificate arrived first.

we got the SS card last week at 4 weeks, but are still waiting for her birth certificate to come.
We had the hospital file for both.

I did all the paperwork for both Birth Certificate and Socoal Security Card in hospital and got both back in 2 weeks....... I was very surprised it was that fast.

4 months after I gave birth I called the hospital to inquire about the status of DD's SS card and they told me it was filed but rejected for no reason....
Never got a call or anything..so I had to go in to the SS office myself and reapply...
I say follow up with the hospital....

We got both really quickly right after we filled out the paperwork at the hospital. I think they came within 3 weeks after she was born
