Mine flares up in the winter too, its awful
I go to bellmore dermatology, all the drs there are great.
I have tried every lotion and cream over the counter and nothing helps, just the presciptions
Coconut and Argan oil have helped but not enough
feel better

Yeah it sucks having this. Mine always gets worse in the winter too. I've tried just about everything besides the injections and pills, which I refuse to try. The last dermatologist I went to was Garden City Dermatology on Stewart Ave in G.C. Hope things get better for you.

Ugh... I just feel like drs just don't care. "It is pretty minor; here's a cream. " They don't work all that well, and they wind up hurting my skin after a while. :(

I have it pretty bad on the back of my neck, it's really annoying! I won't use steroid creams, etc. though because of the increased risk in cancer. I find that rubbing some head and shoulders on it, letting it sit, then using Aquaphor everyday helps it. The Head and Shoulders burns a bit, but it works. Takes away the scales for a week or so.

I did the shots for my wedding since mine is so bad on the back of my arms...it was not painful at all and the dr injected each "scale" and "patch." It literally disappears overnight and stated clear for almost 6 months. However it is supposedly really bad for you and as much as I want to do it again I'm not. I think the key is keeping your skin well moisturizers and drink lots of water. Some people say to eliminate sugar from your diet. It's def something that I wish there was more attention to helping it
