Puffy Swollen Eyes...

It started Friday morning.. I woke up and under my eye and above my eye were all puffy, dry and super itchy. I figured it was an allergic reaction... I started using proactive a week ago, so I thought maybe that was it. I stopped using it Sunday morning, so Sat night was the last time I used it. I still woke up today with swollen puffy eyes and they are itchy!! I have no clue what it could possibly be from. I haven't used anything else new.

Do you think it could be that I'm dehyraded? I realized I haven't been drinking as much water as I should be... maybe that's it?? I haven't really had any alcohol.

Oh, I started an antibiotic thursday afternoon, the day before this started, but I don't think it's that since I've been on this antibiotic before...

Any thoughts?

Also, if I decide to go to a dr for this... do I go to an allergist or a dermatologist?

Holy cow, same thing for me! I started proactiv about a week ago and this morning under my eye is red and swollen and i have red blotches on my cheeks. It looks like i got punched in the eye. Someone told me to only use it once a day now, b/c it seems like i overdried my skin. Chat Icon

I never had zits before in my life, just started a new bc and got them. The proactive cleared them up in 3 days, but this is worse!!! Ugh.

I am going to skip every other day I guess, it just may be too harsh for our skin.

But I stopped using it Sat night!!! And I don't use it on my eyes!! They feel very dry to the touch though... could the dryness cause them to be puffy? I know it can make them itchy!

I have been googling it all morning. Seems to be a common compliant. Someone said that they called proactive, they told them to throw it away and they sent them the proactive for sensitive skin as it is a reaction to the peroxide.

Check out this link, alot of people have had same issue Chat Icon

Update.. I purchased my set from a kiosk at Roosevelt Field. But I called the 800 number for pro-active and the rep was like, "stop using it.. you're having an allergic reaction". I asked about the line for sensitive skin and she said you need to be a club member to get that.. NONSENSE!

so now I don't know what to do!
