Re: Pulling to Stand Question

Samantha pulled herself up for the first time to stand around 8.5/9 months. She was belly crawling around the same time.

She started REAL crawling about 10.5 months about the same time she started to consistently pull herself up to stand.

She's been cruising since 11 months. Not walking yet. She doesn't seem to show much of an interest other than cruising.

Re: Pulling to Stand Question

Chels started crawling at 7 mos and didn't pull to stand until around 9.5-10 mos, but I've noticed that DD likes to perfect everything she does and then move to the next step...for instance, she started cruising right around 10.5 months and has been ever since, just today she started standing on her own for a few seconds if we put her in a stand position and has been "walking" with a walker for a while now...she always focuses and perfects her skills before moving onto the next stepChat Icon

Re: Pulling to Stand Question

DD#1 pulled to standing at 6.5 months on toys, etc (pulled up herself if you offered her your fingers but didn't pull her up at 5.5 months) crawled 6.5 months, cruised 7.5 months and walked 10.5 months.

DD#2 pulled up with holding our fingers (again not pulling her just offering her your fingers) at 4 months - pulling up on crib etc at 5 months. Army crawled 6 months - regular crawling 2 days after she turned 7 months (she crawled once or twice at 6 months but basically did army crawling until that time) - cruised at 7 months - she is NOT close to walking yet and is still working on cruising I'm in NO rush for her to start walking.

Re: Pulling to Stand Question

DD started crawling at 7 months and pulling to stand about a month later. She was cruising at 9 months and walking at 12 (over the weekend!! Chat Icon ) but she is not walking as her mode of transport yet because crawling is faster and takes less concentration Chat Icon

Re: Pulling to Stand Question

DS started crawling at about 5.5 months. He started pulling to stand at about 6 months & crusing shortly after. He could stand unsupported at 9 months. He is now 10 months & he isn't walking completely, but he takes steps. He seems to prefer crawling bc he's better at it.

Re: Pulling to Stand Question

Shane did it all backwards. He pulled to stand around 6 months, was cruising shortly thereafter. Didn't crawl until 9/10 months or so and then started walking just before 11 months. He'd do this scoot on his butt thing forever, between the time he pulled to stand and when he actually crawled. The butt scooting was his primary means of getting around when he couldn't cruise on something.

Re: Pulling to Stand Question

Chat Icon#1:
crawling- 6 months 3 days old
Pull up- shortly(like a few days) after crawling
cruising- 6 1/2- 7 months old
walking- 9 months old

Chat Icon#2:
crawling- 7 months 1 week old
pull up- 7 1/2 months old
cruising- 7 1/2- 8 months old
walking- She could walk across rooms at 9 1/2 months old but would ONLY do it if mommy was at the other end bribing her. She full time walk on her own (for no bribes) at 11 months old.

Both my girls were cruising within a few days of learning to pull up.

Re: Pulling to Stand Question

DS crawled at 10m and started cruising at 10.5m. DS can take a few steps while holding our hand. Still waiting for him to walk solo.

Re: Pulling to Stand Question

Pull to Stand: 11-12 months
Crawling: never really crawled, he was a butt scooter
Cruising: 14 months
Walking: 16 months

He learned to officially crawl after he learned to walk. He did start butt scooting around 8 months though if I recall. It's really bizarre to look at, but it was a very efficient mode of transportation for him
