Pumping moms -
How many oz's does your 3-4 week old take? I'm going to start really pumping this weekend (just got my electric pump - woo hoo ) and I'm not sure how much he'll eat...

Emily is only 2 weeks old yesterday, and she takes anywhere between 2-4 oz per feeding, but usually 3-3.5 is what she gets. Sometimes she'll be a little hungry before the 3 hours and that's when she'll take 2-- other times she'll sleep for like 5 hours and that's when she takes 4...but 3 oz is average for her.

About 3-4 ounces... sometimes, on rare occasion, 5 ounces

My DD will be 4 weeks on Monday and usually she takes 2oz. Sometimes she'll take 3 but usually I offer her 2 from the bottle after she breastfeeds. If she hasn't breastfed first then she may take 3oz.
We're not even close to where I can pump extra milk for her. Right now she drinks everything I pump the same day.  But its better than nothing.

Emily is eating everything I pump also so I'm going tonight to the health food store to get Brewer's Yeast -- our pediatritian recommended it to increase my milk supply -- because I'd really like to start having some storage of milk.

I remember that up until around 5 - 6 weeks Jake would take about however many ounces he was in weeks. So when he was 4 weeks, he taking approximately 4 oz.
