Pumping Moms-How do you warm your breastmilk?

Do you put it on the stove in warm water?
microwave?

I just run it under hot tap water in the bottle but that doesn't work very well but I am not sure what else to do.

I do this as well, but I keep the cup in the sink with the hot water running slowly so it keeps the water at a hot temp. It takes about 5-10 minutes.

I either put it in a cup of hot water or I use the bottle warmer, but I find that's somewhat inconsistant and sometimes it gets too hot.

Just an FYI in the hospital they told me NEVER to heat up bottles of formula or breast milk in the microwave. They said a few reasons, 1 that bad stuff from the plastics can get into the milk, 2 it heats unevenly so even if you shake it there oculd be really " hot spots" and 3 it kills a lot of the really good things in the milk, like the mother's antibodies.

I always change Emily's diaper while the bottle is heating up and this way as soon as we're ready to eat it's ready, and I don't have to worry about her crying too long while it's heating, since the hot water in a cup thing can take some time sometimes.

DON'T PUT YOUR BREASTMILK IN THE MICRO!!The hotspots are one thing, but I've micro'd formula and just shook it up and was really careful, BUT the microwave kills the enzymes that make your breastmilk so healthy....don't do it!! Invest in an electric bottle warmer if you think the tap water takes too long!!

I have never done this and now I never will. I'll just stick with my regular method.

I don't know if you change Miranda's diaper before each feeding but I have found that if I get the bottle ready, put it in the hot water, then change her diaper, the second we're ready for it the bottle is nice and warm also. She usually doesn't start crying until after the diaper is changed anyway, it's like she knows what is supposed to come next!

I bought a bottle warmer and i love it. It makes life so much easier. I used to do the water in a cup thing but it took to long. Now i just push a button and it beeps when the bottle is warmed up by steamming it.
