Q about kids/ private party @ restaurant

What age would you consider counting someone as a "kid" for meals for a private party in a restaurant? My sister is bringing my 2 year old niece to my baby shower in a few weeks, but I'm not sure if I should count her as a kid (even though she would probably pick at something like chicken fingers). TIA!

If she is going to be eating food from the adults plate then no, but if chicken fingers are ordered they are going to count her.

The restaurant should tell you what the age is that you need to pay for them, and it is usually a much lower cost per plate for kids.

Usually kids under a certain age are given a reduced price, or can order something like chicken fingers a la carte. Just tell them you have X adults and X kids eating chicken fingers.

I would count a kid at 3 & up. Adults at 12+

Every restaurant/catering hall is different so I'd call to see what their policy is.

I would ask the restaurant. Restaurants and catering halls usually have a policy concerning the cut-off ages for kids and meals pricing.

The restaurant usually has guidelines for what age they charge for a child vs. adult.
