Q for those who use Dependent care flexible account (for daycare expenses)
We have United Healthcare and we are trying to figure out how it works.
For those who do it. Do you have to submit a claim for your daycare expenses? If so, do you do it weekly, monthtly?

Re: Q for those who use Dependent care flexible account (for daycare expenses)
I just signed up for dependent care flexible spending, but it doesn't start until January 08. From what I understand, you fill out a claim form monthly and submit with a receipt from daycare for the month. So in February, I would submit claim form for January with receipt for January. So you pay out of pocket and then get reimbursed.

Thanks! It sounds just like the flexible spending account for medical expenses.

I'm so happy because my company actually matches up to $1,000 dollars if your salary is under a certain amount which mine is.

At my company you can submit it weekly, monthly, however you like. They just have a form you download, print and bring to the caretaker to sign and validate. It has the tax code information, etc on the form.
