Question about a girl name
Hi ladies,
My husband and I have been in a complete chaos spiral trying to find a name for our DD #2. We will find something we both kind of like and then a week later one of us will change our mind.
My question is this - does the name "Fallon" strike you as a boy name or a girl name? Would you prefer a spelling like "Fallyn" or "Falynn" to make it appear more feminine? Middle name will be Christina (my MIL's name) and our last name sounds like Duncan.
Thanks!!!

Re: Question about a girl name
My DD has a female Fallon in her class. I consider it a unisex name. I wouldn't change the spelling.

Thanks ladies! I like the spelling "Fallon" too and I'm glad to hear people think it's a girls name. We'll see if this one sticks.

Re: Question about a girl name
The only Fallon I've come across was a girl and she spelled her name "Fallyn". If you like it, use it!

Question about a girl name
I don't think the "y" makes it look feminine, it looks weird to me like that.
Fallon spelled with the O still sounds like a girl to me

Question about a girl name
Fallon is an Irish unisex name. If you like it use it! My son's middle name is actually Fallon- It means descendent of a king/ royalty. I believe it started as a boys name in Ireland, but in America it became thought of for girls after the show Dynasty. Now its unisex all over. Love it!

Thanks!!! I went from feeling like the name is too weird or too unique but I'm relieved to see people posting they know people in real life with this name. Thanks again everyone.

Question about a girl name
I only know females named Fallon. I'm a stickler for traditional spelling so I'd leave it.

Re: Question about a girl name
I have never met anyone nor heard of the name Fallon before, except for Jimmy Fallon. It strikes me as unisex but somewhat on the more feminine side. If you use it, I would stick with the traditional spelling.
