Question about a WAKE... POLL

DH's good friend's Grandmother passed away and the wake is tonight. Should we bring a mass card or sympathy card?

Re: Question about a WAKE... POLL

I think a Mass card is appropriate at a wake. Bringing a sympathy card as an extra will definitely be appreciated!!!

Mass card to the wake
Sympathy card is mailed to the home

I've only seen Mass cards put out at wakes in those holders, never a sympathy card

This is what I would ask too. If the person was Catholic, or would understand what a mass card is, I would get a Mass card. If not, I would get a Symapthy card.

If you are Catholic, then yes, a mass card. I am not catholic, and it wouldn't occur to me to give a mass card for a catholic wake (mostly because I am not religious, and when I was, we didn't have mass).

Thanks for your responses, I will probably end up bringing a mass card to the wake.
