Question about age difference with DC's
DH and I have always wanted a large family (3 or 4 kids). DS is only 4 weeks old, but we are already thinking about TTC baby # 2 around December or January. We would like our kids to be close in age. The thing is, because of a certain medication I am on, I have to wean myself off of it before I can TTC, so we need to start thinking about this now. How far apart are your DC's, and if you had it to do over, would you have had them closer together or further apart? Thanks ladies!

DC are almost exactly 3 years apart ( 3 years, 17 days to be exact....  ), and I think it's great so far. DS often forgets that DD is 2, and not 5, but he is a very caring brother. They play all the time.
I'm 23 months older than my twin sibs. That was great, too. Close enough that we could play with each other.
DW's brothers are 8 and 10 years older. That's a big difference. What 15 yo wants to hang out with their 5yo sister? DW never really got to know her brothers until she was in her 20s....
1 year difference may be very stressful for you as a parent, though. It would be similar to having twins.
If we had to do it again, I wouldn't change much. I like a 2-3 year span.

My girls are 20 months apart. I wouldn't have changed a thing. If/when I try for #3 they won't be that close in age--I'd rather wait until my oldest will be in school 5 days a week, so I'm only dealing with 2 at home full-time. But that's only for MY sanity!

I only have 1 child now but I think 3 years is perfect to have between them.
