What's the age difference between you and your siblings and did you like it?

What is the age difference between you and your siblings? Did you like it? Did you wish it was different? Did you wish there were more years between you or less?

Two years to be exact. My sister and I get along very well.

me 29

brother 28(close, he was very smart and skipped a grade, so a lot of the time he was in my classes)

sister 27(not close at all, childhood was spent in a fight...we are civil now, she loves Josh and I love her for that)

sister 25(she was great, very fun, she tagged along with me often.)

sister 21(super close from day 1. We have a strong connection)

sister 20(I loved her, but more in a mothering way, caretaker)

brother 17 (also my godson, very much a caretaker relationship)

even though there is 11 years between my brothers, you would never know it. My 28 year old brother has always brought my younger brother to movies, games, later on vacations. They are both vegans for years now...

My closest sister is 8.5 years younger. So much in common, clicked from day 1.

My sis and I are 7 years apart, and my bro and I are 4 years apart.

When i was younger i was my brothers shadow, then when we got older we arent as close. My sis and I are very opposite and always had a mother/daughter relationship i guess you can say. Now that im a mother we are getting closer for that fact were in similair stages in life.

My sister and I are 2 years apart and I would never change it. We have pretty much never had a fight and have always been close, but maintained separate groups of friends.

My sister is 5 years older and I wish we were closer in age- especially growing up. We weren't very close back then because we didn't really have anything in common. We're much closer now, even though I'm more like the older sister.

me and my sister are 2 years, 4 months apart (she's older) then I have a brother who is 5 years 8 months younger and another brother who is 8 years younger.

My sister and I are best friends (we always used to fight though). My brothers I am close to but not like my sister. 5 1/2 years is a big difference and 8 years...it's like we didn't grow up together.

2 Years between my brother and I. We grew up with our fair amount of fights, however, by the time I hit Jr. High, we started to get along great.
My sister and I are 10 Years apart. We get along great! Yes, we may have some minor ups and downs, but, she is one of my best friends. I would never change a thing.

I am almost 9 years older than my brother....my only sibling. We are ridiculously close. Always have been.

Have 3 siblings.....
1. Twin sister about 6 minutes apart. My best friend!
2.Brother 29 yrs. old. 3 yrs. apart.Middle child.
3.Brother 25 yrs. old. 7 yrs apart. Baby of the family.

We all got along growing up despite diffrences.We are a close family.Would not change it for nothing!

i have a half brother and half sister.
I am 11 years older than my brother..... we aren't really that close- I try to be, but it hard for me at 32 years old to have the patience to deal with the 21 year old BS that goes on- especially as he makes LOTS errors and is very immature - well, he's a boy.
I'm 14 years older than my sister- she's 18- again- very difficult... sometimes I just want to shake them both. They are good kids- but we have nothing in common and they are both irresponsible- but they are KIDS so i guess they are supposed to be...

My sister and I are 3 years apart and we are good friends, the only awkward period was like the 12 -15 years. For me, its the perfect age gap and thats what I plan for my children.

My sister is 3 years older than me. We went through years of loving then hating then loving then hating then loving again. Now she is my bestest friend in the whole world and we speak every day.

6 and 16 year older brothers. I am closer with the 16yo (1/2) brother but the 6yo is just quiet and doesn't open up.

The only thing that ever bothered me was when I got older and dad was sick, it was hard for me to make decisions for him because I was the "baby" (never mind that I am a doc).

When I was a teenager I was SO blessed to have brothers that much older - no one messed with me, they were "huge" and could drop-kick anyone that bothered me!

That being said, if I were to have another child, I think we'd aim for 3-5 years apart...

ETA: Being an aunt to kids only 11 years younger has also come in handy - I can talk to the straight up when they screw up and they open up to me more than dad sometimes. And when you think of the worst, they've been through it.

I'm very close with my siblings.. with that said, I'm the oldest. There are 7 years between my sister and I, 9 years between my brother an I. I also have two step sisters, I am 19 and 21 years older than them.

The only thing I regret, is while my sister, brother and I are very close. The two of them are much closer because they are only 2.5 years apart. They have many of the same friends and often hung out together.

3 years apart we got along as kids but not as teens. I was a bad kid. Now we are the best of friends. I like the three years but 2 would have been ok to. She hated that I always wanted to hang out w/ her & her friends because I was so "little". There is a big difference btw a 9yo & 12yo!

But under 2 years I think can be to close sometimes. My cousins are 14mo apart and I see how they struggle with there own identity. They are always grouped together because they are so close in age. The younger one was always expected to be "older". You forget they the difference between a 3yo & 4yo is pretty significant.

Brother-26 (My brother and I were best friends-never fought.)

8 years apart

Sister-18 (I am my sister's godmother-I was mommy's helper with her.) (My brother and sister got along, but I think when they did fight it is bc he wanted a brother-lol)

I have a 50 year old sister, a 48 year old sister and a 44 year old brother (13, 11, 8 years older than I am)

I like it that way and YES we have all of same parents and NO I was NOT a change of life baby.

As a child, they were more parental towards me. Since I have become a peer, its open season on the "baby (me)"

2 years 9 mths with my sister. We didn't get a long growing up until we were teenagers and even then it was rough. It wasn't until after she went to college we became the best of friends!

My kids will be 4 years apart. We'll see how that goes.

wouldnt want the same for my children, i'd prefer 2-3 yrs apart

Two years between each of us and there are 4 of us. I thought it was the perfect spacing.
