Question about internals

Ok, I just had my strep B test. I thought he was going to do an internal exam, but I'm not quite sure if he did. He did a quick 3 second check and did a quick swab. He said the words " Nothing's going on" so I'm assuming there's no progression. I'm not sure why I didn't ask, but I'm wondering if that was an "internal exam" or not. I was really hoping I'd hear more news, but unfortunately not. does everyone get internals? Also, if I haven't progressed by week 37, does that probably mean I'll go late?

That sounds like an internal. They're just to see if there's any progress, so if there's none, it's pretty easy.
No progression at this point means nothing. I had no progress at my 38 week appointment and gave birth 5 days later...6 days before my due date!
