Question about Keyspan bill...
OK, so it is summer (so no heat) and we don't use ANY hot water so why is it that our Kepspan bill is $48 and we don't even live there yet ? I understand that it costs $ to run the hot water heater anyway but $48????????

Re: Question about Keyspan bill...
I would call them to check, but I think they charge a basic service cost even if you don't use much if any gas and then there are the taxes & local surcharges on top.
Our lowest bill last summer was $17, we have gas heated water & at that time a gas dryer. Our biggest bill this winter was over $700 so now I'm on the payment thingy that spreads the cost. $48 sounds high if your not even there I'd call them.

Re: Question about Keyspan bill...
It might be an estimated bill. I know they come to my house every other month to read the meter but we get a bill everyone month. You migth end up with a credit next month because you didn't use any gas.
