Question about lock-in fees!
Do all banks charge a lock-in fee? (The lender we are planning to go with charges anywhere from 1/2 a point to a point depending on how long the lock-in is good for). Is this the norm?

Re: Question about lock-in fees!
We paid a 1/2 point to lock in our rate for our refinance this past Friday. I think it is the norm.
I also believe you get this lock-in money back, or it goes towards what you have to pa out of pocket for closing. (I think)

Re: Question about lock-in fees!
We paid a lock in rate, but the $ went towards closing costs when we closed. I want to say it was $1600.

Re: Question about lock-in fees!
We're doing TFCU, and they do charge to lock in, and the fee does not apply to closing costs.
