Question about nursing and bottles
I feel so clueless, but are there specific bottles that need to be used if you are nursing and plan to pump? My friend said something about each pump only working with specific bottles but I was planning on renting my pump from the hospital so I have no clue which to buy...

If you plan to buy/rent a Medela pump, they do have bottles (their won brand) that you can use to pump directly into. I use the Medela Pump in Style Advance pump and use the Medela storage containers to pump into but then I transfer the milk into my Dr. Brown bottles for feeding my .

That makes sense, you just bought the containers then and can use whatever bottle.

I rented a hospital grade Medela pump for now. I'm able to pump directly into the Playtex Drop-Ins because my Playtex gift set came with a connector piece that works with most pumps (except Avent and First Years). We also bought a separate breast milk storage set from Playtex so that we could have an extra connector piece. So far, it's working out really well. Good luck with your bottle search!
