Question about paint colors

Elbee said that some of you ladies may be able to show me a picture of the following

a wall painted in flat paint and then on the bottom half of the wall, stripes in the same color but in a satin finish

any pics to share? This sounds nice but I want to see what it looks like

I don't have pics but I plan on doing a similar sheen stripe treatment in our entryway and possibly the nursery with a diamond pattern on the bottom and stripes on the top.

However, the above link used paint for both stripes in flat and gloss. The method I've heard of and will do is paint the wall flat and then add sheen stripes using a clear glaze.

If you go to a real paint store, not HD or Lowes, you'll get much better help and products.

Stefanie's son's room is painted like that. I think she still has pictures in her album. It looks really cute.
