Question about reading test UPDATE: BFP!!!
I just took a pregnancy test, and the result window was positive, but the control window did not show a line. Does this mean that the test is invalidated? I don't have another test at home right now to try again. Arg.
Update: Wow, I can't believe it, but I got 2 lines!! BFP! (I never thought I would write those words. I just never thought it would happen!) I am in shock. I did not think that I was pregnant, I still don't! I was so sure a few months ago that I was pregnant, but this month i was sure I wasn't!
I planned on waiting till tomorrow to get another test to try, but I just couldn't. I ran to CVS, got First Response, took 2 tests, and both have 2 lines. I am really shocked. I totally thought I was kidding myself. I just don't believe it. Is that normal? Or am I nuts?

Is it a FRER.....sometimes with the FRER there is only a limited amount of dye per test so that if the HCG hormone is really high it will grab a lot or almost all of the dye since the urine passes over the test side before the control line.......
I would post a picture... It could also be a test error

I'd honestly jut go out and get another test (preferable first response) and test tomorrow with your first morning urine.
Where are you in your cycle?

I am 4 days late for AF.  I think I need to get a test now!
Is CVS a good first response test? Do I have to test first morning urine since I am late? I thought you could do it anytime when you are late.
Thanks for your help.
ETA: I think CVS is a blue dye test. Is that the type of test that has either one blue line or two? Sorry to not be up on all this stuff.

Try getting a First Response Early Result Test (First Response is the brand, it comes in a pink package).
Hold your urine for a little while, then use it.

I'd get a First Response of Clear Blue Easy Digital (thats what I used and loved them)!
