Question about starting IVF???
So now that I am BCP's until at least monday..I was wondering when I would be starting the actual meds?
do you have to come off of BCP's for days or do you go straight into it...my RE said she would order the meds yesterday but since I had a cyst that I may be on BCP's longer...also I asked if I had to wait till the cyst was completely gone and she said no...has anyone starting taking the meds and had a cyst...what size do they want to see it at before they allow you to start?
Just a lot of questions that I will prob get answered at my NP consult on Monday but better to be prepared

I stopped bcp and there was 3 days of "nothing" before I started meds-- I think this is pretty standard practice. I've heard of people doing cycles with a cyst but I can't really tell you much else In that dept! Good luck

I went in on the 4th day after stopping BCPs and started injections that night.
I didn't have a cyst, though, so I can'e help you there. Usually a month on BCPs makes them go away. How long have you been on BCPs?

Only been on them for 6 days so they are going to check on Monday to see if it has gone down.

I was on BCP for 10 days
then overlapped with BCP and 10iu of Leupron for 5 days
then I was just on the Leupron 10iu for 5 days...got a "fake" AF
then started stim meds and continued .5 leupron for 10 days...
HGC trigger
2 days later ER
5 days later transfer

i was on BCP for about a month and then stopped for a few days (3 or 4) before i came in for blood work and sono. I started stims that evening.
i didnt have any cysts but i did have 2 endometriomas on my right ovary which didnt affect me starting IVF meds.

I always overlapped BCP with Lupron. They should do a sono to check your uterus and make sure that you didn't breakthrough the pill and ovulate or form any cysts, etc.

I was on bcp for 7 days, had 3 days off, then started stims that fourth night. (Today is my 6th day of stims)

I overlapped as well... i was also on Ganirelix almost the entire time as well. So i was never drug free lol...
