Question about thawing meat....
Well, actually - I took out 2 filet mignons on Saturday night - they were completly frozen and I put them in the refridgerator overnight.
Sunday, they were still pretty frozen through.
They did thaw out complatley by mid day Sunday.
Unfortunatley, I didn't have a chance to grill them last night. Do you think they are OK to make tonight? They look red around the outside and most of the inside. There is a little dark that formed on each of them.
What do you think?

Yes they are fine., You will know bad meat. The smell is awful.

You are fine. But you must cook them by tonight. The meat is turning colors because it is still unfreezing & the temperature change...If it was bad, it will have such a smell!!

It sounds like they are fine. If the meat is turning very brown, or gray, don't eat it. But if it's red for the most part, it should be fine.

no - it's red for the most part - just two little sections on the top are darker - I would even call them gray - just darker.
