question about the angel care monitors
we dont have one, but Ive been thinking I need more of a monitor other than the sound one we have...DD is sleeping on her stomach now but she likes to plant her face straight into the mattress (VERY scary to find her like that) she normally has her sucky in her mouth so shes fine with breathing but still. I guess the question is...what happens if DC moves off the angelcare pad thing that goes under the mattress or whatever...DD moves around her crib like crazy and is always in different spots from where you lay her down...I cant understand how it would work still?

Re: question about the angel care monitors
How old is she?
We had to stop using the sensor part of the Angelcare at maybe around 6 or 7 months, when DD was all around the crib, for the exact reasons you describe.
We still use it as a regular monitor though. It does stink majorly that the sensor pad is only so big.

Re: question about the angel care monitors
shes 6.5 months....looks like that is out of the question...back to my quest to find a decently priced video monitor...atleast i will be able to see if shes got her face planted in the mattress then
Edited for age figured i should give her the 1/2 month lol

Re: question about the angel care monitors
I personally think she is too old for it now. My son was all over the crib at that point and it would have gone off a hundred times a night.
How about getting the Summer handheld video monitor. I swear by that thing.

LOVE the Summer handheld video monitor. It's perfect for the summer months too when DS is sleeping and we want to hang out on the backyard dek but keep an eye on him. While it is a little expensive, I waited till I got a 20% off coupon from BBB and then I went out and bought it.

Buy Buy Baby now takes the Bed Bath and Beyond 20% coupons. That would be a nice amount off. I have extra coupons that I could mail to you if you'd like!

Re: question about the angel care monitors
My son is everywhere in his crib at 11 months. We adjusted the sensitivity of the mat and it works just fine. And he has sleep apnea, so it still does go off when he stops breathing. He typically finds his way to a corner in the night and it still has been good.
