Question about video monitors
Where does the camera get placed in the nursery? Mounted on the wall? On the crib itself?

right now ours is on the crib railing. Once the baby starts moving around we'll either have to mount it on the wall or put it on a shelf.

we have a shelf near the crib that we'll probably use when the baby can move around, just so I dont have to spackle up holes in a few years 
Otherwise I know people mount them to the wall or ceiling
