To me, an u/s is not very private or personal. Just my belly sticking out. MIL saw one of my sonos with DS. For this pregnancy, I'd like to invite my mom to one, but not sure if timing will work out.

Yes. My mom and my dad have come to my ultrasounds.
Honestly, they cover you up for a transvaginal too... So I wouldn't really care.
My MIL: no.

Yes to both. My mom came with me to an appointment so I had her come in. My MIL works for my OB so I invited her in another time. They were both super excited.

Question for all of you!!!
My mom came to a bunch with DS1. I think she was only there for a few with DS2. My sister even came to 1 sono for each boy. When I was having DS1, my mom, sister, & DH stayed for the birth, but I would've let my mil stay (she wanted to leave when I started pushing). My friends and sil were also in and out all day. For DS2, my mom and DH stayed for the birth (sister would've been there, but she was home with her kids). My sister and sil were both there through a lot of the hospital labor part though. I like having people around. I thought I wouldn't when I first gr pregnant, but I wouldn't change having people there at all! It's a personal matter though- you do what you feel comfortable with!

No MIL. We have a fine relationship but that's too much. My mom was at one only because I didn't have anyone to watch DD. She met me there (she was coming from work and it was the only way I could make the apt) and I thought she'd like to see the baby so I let her come in the room and hold DD while I had the sono. Under normal circumstances I wouldn't have even had my mom there. I don't know why but having anyone besides DH there creeps me out.

My mom came for a sono or two with my first daughter...she's out of town for the winter, otherwise I would absolutely have her come to one with this baby. Having her in the room while giving birth, however....no way....but I loved having the experience of her seeing her grandbaby on the sono screen. It was very special.
My MIL passed away after my first baby was born. She didn't come to any sonos with me, and although we got along well, we probably weren't close enough for her to come to a sono.

I have a great relationship with both my mom and MIL so I have brought them each to a different appointment, but kept the bigger appointments for just me and DH. I actually had both of them in my delivery room as well.

I had my mom at one early sono (was seen by an RE), maybe 8 weeks. And also at one sono at my MFM office, they had big flat screen TV's so she got to see the baby on that. Was about 24 weeks for that one. She was thrilled to be there.

You must have had very uneventful sonos to say this. I was not as lucky with my second pregnancy, we had quite a scare. It was a lot for DH and I to take in at the time and I think it would have been too overwhelming having mom and/or MIL with us at the time as well. I needed to process the information before talking about it. If I ever had another, I definitely would not invite them.

Absolutely!
This is their grandbabies. My mom came with me to a few sonos when DH couldn't make it. And my MIL came with me to a sono as well. The look of excitement on their faces was amazing

Question for all of you!!!
I wish I could have my mom in the delivery room. Having a c-section I'd love having her there and DH is very likely to pass out, he's horrible with medical stuff. But I feel like that's DHs place.

Same here. I only wanted my husband in the delivery room too. A nurse told me my parents were in the waiting room and I told her "can you please tell them to go home"
