Question for FTWM of school age kids: Summer?!?!
DS is currently in full day Pre-K that is in a Catholic Elementary school and once school ends, he is out for the summer.
I'm on a quest to find a day camp for him, but having a difficult time
My biggest issue is most are 8 weeks (June 26 - Aug 17). What do I do with him after camp ends and before school starts???
I work full time (starting a new job on Mon), DH is a detective in the city and his schedule fluctuates. We live with MIL, but she cannot "handle" him all day/everyday for 2 weeks.
Another choice I have is to send him to a daycare, but I really like the idea of a day camp better (more variety, more outdoor time).
What do you ladies do/suggest???
I am going to send DH on Mon to get pricing from the daycare I'd consider. And ask if they'd take him for the time between camp & school. Is that a bad idea????

I don't think it's a bad idea to use the daycare for the 2 weeks, however, I would make sure they aren't charging a large registration fee for that. You might be better off just getting a sitter, or using your vacation days.
