Question for ladies who did NOT have a D&C

How long did it take you to pass everything? I have been bleeding since Sat. morning and still haven't passed any clots, tissue, or sac. With my 1st miscarriage, I literally woke up with terrible cramping and pains. Within an hour, I passed the sac and tissue. My RE said that if I didn't see it by Thurs night, I'd have a D&C on Fri. I'm not bleeding all red yet either.

I'm sorry this is dragging out for you.

I started spotting on Tuesday evening. By later that night, I was bleeding lightly. By Wednesday AM, I was bleeding fully, like AF, and I passed tissue/clot, etc. probably around noon that day. I continued bleeding lightly-moderately for a few days after.

I hope this is all over for you soon.

I had taken the medicine at home. I took it on a friday and did not start passing the tissue and sac untill Thursday... Once that happen then I started to bleed heavy and passed clots friday and saturday ( so a week after taking the misprostol)

Were you waiting for it to happen naturally, or did you take the misoprotol?

I hope you start passing everything. I am sure you would rather not have to have the D&C.

No, I'm not taking any medicine. Either way, I just want it to happen. Last time, my OB wanted to do a D&C even though I had passed most of the tissue. I think the placenta was formed or forming and that was still there but he said to "clean me out." My RE didn't suggest surgery in that matter because I guess my sac is so small.

I started spotting on a Sunday. That Wednesday I woke up with cramps and bleeding heavily. I passed everything Wednesday/Thursday and then bled for a few more days after that. I hope everything passes soon

I took the meds and unfortunately also had to have the D&C.

I know my friend said it took 4 days to be done bleeding and I am not sure which part of that was the sac.

Me I bled forever and who knows what I passed..lol...I am so sorry this is dragging for you. I am sure you are just ready for it to be over like I was.

12 days- naturally w/o drugs. It started slowly and progressed and then regressed again. There was clotting in the middle. I never saw the sack. I hope this isn't TMI- but its worst I would see streams of blood. I would pass clots with # 2. My Dr. said that as long as I didn't hemorage everything was fine.

I also had a sono performed right after the bleeding. They confirmed that I had passed all of the tissue. There was just blood and debris which cleared out in subsequent cycles.

I'm sorry you're going thru this again.

With my first one, I started feeling uncomfortable about 10pm. By 1am, the pain was really bad and at times I couldn't stand up straight. I definitely passed clots, tissue, etc.

The pain was gone by the morning and I only had light bleeding for that following day.

After my second, I did bleed for about 2 weeks afterwards.

I'm so sorry for your loss.

I started spotting on Saturday night and had a light flow Sunday morning. Monday I woke up to a ton of blood and bled through to Thursday.


ETA: I had a lot of bad cramping on Sunday.

I started bleeding heavily on sunday with some cramping, and it lasted about 4 days. I started to miscarry on my own, before they were able to see me..

It took me 5 weeks to pass everything and I bled everyday for those 5 weeks. I had been concerned with it because it seemed way to long for me to go through that. But the doctor kept saying its normal. I think if this ever happens to me again I will demand the medication. It's torture to be constantly reminded for that long.

At least your doctor is being more proactive about it! I'm sorry you have to go through this though.

Well, it has really started. I had some horrible back pains last night. Then about 3 am I woke up with horrible cramping and contractions and I knew it was coming. I passed some clots and tissue since then but I haven't seen the sac yet. I also have a horrible headache which I'm guessing is from my hormones. This is when I want to scream F*ck my life.

Thank you for sharing your experiences. I wasn't quite sure how this au natural would turn out.

I'm sorry this is dragging out for you. I remember when it happened to me, I just wanted it to be OVER!

Luckily I was able to pass it all on my own. It started on a Monday sorda light, but got heavier throughout the day. By Tuesday the cramps subsided, but I continued to bleed fairly heavy (with clots) for a few days just like a regular period flow. I think it last a total of 5 or 6 days and then I was back to normal. Exactly 28 days later I got my period again, proving that my cycle was back on schedule.

I am so sorry for your loss. I was about 6 weeks when i MC last year and i bled for 7 days straight. I started clotting right away. Heavy the first day. Light the next 2 days. The third day it was almost gone. The fourth day it became heavy again until it stopped completely by day 8. I hope it stops for you real soon

friday i passed a tiny clot, no real bleeding just some spotting
saturday the same
sunday & monday nothing
tuesday real bleeding started and continued every time i went to the bathroom, really i didn't think you could lose that much blood!
wed, thurs, fri same thing
saturday and sunday violent cramps
monday passed the sac (fyi, its groos)
have been bleeding, staining lightly since then....still hasn't stopped completely

so i am approaching three weeks! geez that feels like forever.

doc says its normal as long as my levels are steadily decreasing!
