Question for moms of two or more re: finding out the sex

For those who didn't find out the sex the first time, but did the second time-- what made the experience different?

My Level II is next week, and we are not finding out, but of course I am dying to know.... I am trying to stick to my guns, but was just wondering if the waiting was worth it.

Re: Question for moms of two or more re: finding out the sex

I loved finding out in the emergency room (I had an emergency C-Section). It was an amazing moment and I would not have changed a thing.

This time life is different. We are moving and I do not want to save a butt-load of boy stuff unless I need it, plus I do not want to wait until after the baby is born to buy things I *might* need if it is a girl. It will not be as easy for me to go shopping while home on maternity with a newborn and a toddler, I imagine.

Not a mom of 2 or more, but BTDT and it was so worth it that I'm pretty sure I wouldn't find out the 2nd time around either (but will totally be tempted to!)

ETS: I'm sorry, I didn't read your question right but was on team Chat Icon too.

I know we won't end up doing it-- I am just so jealous of everyone finding out now!!

I loved the surprise of not finding out with DD#1, it was great!

I probably wouldn't have found out with DD#2 but my hubby was dying to know both times so I let him have his wayChat Icon

Re: Question for moms of two or more re: finding out the sex

Just wanted to share my experience. We knew we wanted to know from day one. As the day to finding out came closer, we decided we still wanted the aspect of surprise, but also wanted to know the sex. So as it stands, DH and I know and that's it (well and Julz33 bc she saw me shopping after my appointment at the mall!!haha).

It really isnt AS hard as I thought it would be to keep it a secret and although we still get the occasional "tricks" to get it out of us, most of our family and friends are excited for the surprise.

It is the best of both worlds. We know and can decorate and buy cute gender specific clothes that WE like, but DH still gets his big annoucement the day of and everyone is so excited with anticipation and is taking bets on boy or girl.
