Question for Team Green

What are your dressing your baby in as the 'Take-Home' outfit?

A neutral outfit -or-

will you buy a girl & boy outfit and bring both to the hospital?

Re: Question for Team Green

We haven't completely decided yet but we may have my mom buy an outfit once the baby is born and we know the sex. Then the baby can come home in that. If not we will use an outfit we have that is gender neutral.

Re: Question for Team Green

With #1 I bought an outfit in blue and one in pink and brought them both to the hospital with me.

I'll do the same with #2 Chat Icon

Re: Question for Team Green

I bought a boy and girl outfit. I had my mom wash the boy outfit after my son was born and she brought it to me when she visited. I returned the girl outfit.

Re: Question for Team Green

I think I will buy both and have my mom bring the correct outfit to the hospital when it's time to leave.

Re: Question for Team Green

I had my outfit that I came home in, my mom had that washed, ironed and ready to go if needed..if it was a boy, she was going to go buy something for me and wash it and bring to the hospital.

Re: Question for Team Green

we're doing the layette at Denny's so you can do one for all girl and one for all boy and when you have the baby DH will go and pick up the correct color and take it home to wash (or my MIL will get it) and that's what the baby will go home in.

Re: Question for Team Green

I was going to buy both boy and girl outfits but I thought it would be cute to send DH out to buy the outfit after the baby was born.

I plan on bringing a neutral outfit, but my mom said she most likely will go get either a boy or girl outfit before I come home. (I think my mom has better taste than my DH so that's ok Chat Icon )

Re: Question for Team Green

I have a gender neutral shirt to wear already...I just need to get a pair of pants. I will probably just get soft gray sweats or something.

Re: Question for Team Green

My mom had offered the outfit that I and my three siblings came home from the hospital in (42 years old)! She bought it not knowing boy or girl so it's a white terry footsie jumper that snaps up the front with a white satin ribbon with blue embroidery and blue rosettes. She had three girls and boy and used the same outfit for all of us! Chat Icon Chat Icon I'm the youngest and very traditional and the only one who will use it.
