Question for the BTDT's (despite the fact that I am one lol) re: fetal movement before labor
So I am currently 39.5 weeks pregnant with my second. I'm due Thursday. I can't remember if this was the case with my last pregnancy, which was less than 2 years ago! But today and yesterday I have noticed a "slowing down" of the baby's movements. I am definitely still feeling movement numerous times throughout the day, but the movements are like slower and not as big, if that makes sense. I've been reading around online and it seems that it is common right before labor to notice a decrease in fetal movement. Just wondering if anyone else remembers experiencing this shortly before labor started. TIA!
ETA: As of my appt. last Wednesday, I was 1cm dilated and the doctor was predicting that I'd go this past weekend! Obviously that didn't happen lol.

I don't know, but my dr. Said movements really shouldn't slow down. They never did for either of my kids. He would tell me to drink oj, lay down in the dark to concentrate on them. Maybe call and ask to be on the safe side. Good luck! So exciting!

My Dr said the movements may slow down as they get bigger- because there is not much room left in there at the end. They really don't have much space to move around.

The day after my due date I didnt feel much movement. I went to get checked out and the Dr I saw at NSUH said its common for movement to slow down when things are starting... I went into labor several hours later and had my DS the next morning!! Good Luck!
