Question for those that wear heels daily
I wear 3 or 4 inch heals daily. My feet rarely hurt, some days I walk a lot, sometimes I stand for three hours or more if I'm lecturing. I have noticed that my feet KILL me when I have to walk around in the city. Today I needed to walk a couple of blocks to get a cab and the balls of my feet were in pain. I don't get this feeling any other time, it's only when I'm walking on sidewalks and it's not my toes, heels or any other part of my foot. Most days I'm not walking around in the city, I'm usually in an office setting, convention center or hotel. I don't know what I would do if I had to do it everyday. I see plenty of people strutting for blocks in heels and I'm thinking my feet would die. Lol Ladies that wear heels all the time in the city, have you had this happen? If so besides switching to a different shoe outside( my pants are all hemmed for heels so I can't switch to flats) what else works?

Question for those that wear heels daily
Yes. The concrete is a nightmare. I have cute "commuting shoes" that I wear back and forth and then switch to heels when I get in. I used to be able to tolerate it better, but now I'm older and my feet don't have it in them any more!
You could try insoles...they never work too long for me, though. I have some nice wedges that are much more comfy than heels...maybe that would work?

Re: Question for those that wear heels daily
I stopped wearing pants for the hemming issues. Skirts are easier.
The cushions help, but also getting shoes that are just more padded inside helps too.
I don't wear my heels outside mostly because they get ruined--the heals get caught on stairs & in grates.
I wear wedges. Cole Haan makes really comfortable ones.

Re: Question for those that wear heels daily
4 - 5" everyday. A few blocks is one thing, but to commute to/from Penn or walk a long way? NO WAY - I'm not ruining my shoes, or my feet !!

Re: Question for those that wear heels daily
Try a wider width. I won't wear any heel in normal width anymore.
