Question for those who had an episiotomy
where you scared to do the deed again? I got the all clear from my OB, but I'm PETRIFIED. It still hurts sometimes when I wipe too hard, let alone do anything physical

Re: Question for those who had an episiotomy
I'm not going to lie...it kind of hurt the first time, but not excrutiating pain...more like discomfort.
Good Luck!

Re: Question for those who had an episiotomy
Yup, I was scared. If you're still having pain, I would hold off longer.

Re: Question for those who had an episiotomy
I waited a couple weeks after i got the all clear i was still sore/uncomfy.
Use lube, it helps the first couple times, especially sometimes if you anticipate the discomfort.
After you get over the intial OMG it's gonna hurt, you will be fine

Re: Question for those who had an episiotomy
I have to be honest I still hurt nearly 1 year after!!!but I have been EBF since DD was born so that doesnt help either - dries you up ...TMI but I feel like a virgin again and its not necessarily a good thing......
Like the other posters said lots of lube and try not to anticipate the pain - easier said than done...maybe have a glass of wine

Re: Question for those who had an episiotomy
Lots of lube, and you can play Madonna's Like a Virgin in the background for a little mood music.

It was uncomfortable the first time, but using lube helped.

Re: Question for those who had an episiotomy
I was nervous - I waited a bit after I was cleared and it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be.
