Question for those who have been to the LI Childrens Museum...

...in Garden City. Is there anything there to do for a 1 year old? And do they allow you to push around a stroller? I cant find this info on their website. THANKS!

there is a room specifically for for children under 2, and strollers are allowed. I would say that it would be best for walkers though.

The Totspot room is really all there is for that age, and I'm not sure an under-one-year-old would get much out of it unless s/he is capable of walking/climbing, etc.

He crawls and climbs and can stand up. Is the Totspot room like Gymboree?

Not really, there is a gym type of room with toys and slides and stuff thats cute, but the other rooms are just exhibits and for older kids. Julia just ran around the whole place.

You can bring a stroller in, I do it all the time for my youngest. I found that my son really didn't start to enjoy it and like the exhibits until he was closer to 2.

Thank you for the responses, it doesn't seem like it's worth it to go right now!

You can take a stroller thru the entire place. As far as anything for them to do there is not much except for the tot spot. I personally would wait till about 15+ mos to go.... :)
