Question for those who switched formulas
I just changed Hannah's formula yesterday...she's is on her 6th bottle. She is pooping after every bottle (yellow thick paste - was green/black and runny on the old formula). She takes about an hour to get through 4oz and then stops (she was drinking 5oz on the old formula ini about 15 - 20 min).
Is this normal behavior when you change formulas? Do they need time to get used to it? or should I call the DR because she's pooping so much and not eating as much.
Thanks

Re: Question for those who switched formulas
They definately need time to adjust. When we switched Andy from Similac Advanced to Alimentum the doctor said to give it 2 weeks to really see if it's working. The same thing when we switched from Alimentum to Neocate.

Re: Question for those who switched formulas
when we switched from Similac Advance to Enfamil Prosobee Lipil (soy), my son wouldn't drink it - he went from drinking 4-5 ounces per bottle of Similac, to drinking a maximum of 2 ounces per bottle of the soy! After giving it a full week, we switched back to Similac b/c he wasn't gaining weight. Maybe we should have given him more time to get used to the new formula because it may have helped his obscene gas issues, but to me it was more important that he continue growing since he was less than a month old

Re: Question for those who switched formulas
The Nutramigen is pre-digested, so it goes through her system quicker. Totally normal.
