Question for those that switched to Nutramigen
As most of you read earlier we are trying Nutramigen for her gas issues (she was on Enfamil Lipil.) She's in the middle of her 2nd bottle now and I noticed with both she takes a really long time to drink it. Did you notice that it took longer for your DC to drink? She used to gulp down a bottle in 15 minutes, now it takes close to an hour She also seems to be "gasping" for air alot.
eta: do you think it takes so long because she doesn't like it? It smells like "cheese its" to me.

Re: Question for those that switched to Nutramigen
Sara did this too. I think it is just a taste they have to get used to. Just beware that her poops will be explosive for the first week and greenish color.
I will have Nutramegin to sell next month if you are interested

Re: Question for those that switched to Nutramigen
I didn't notice that it took DD longer but I did notice a behavior change after about 4 days.

thanks for the poop warning!!! They were always green & explosive , boy do I hope they don't worse
Let me know when you are ready to sell them, hopefully it works for her. I don't live in LI, but my mom does and I go about once a month to visit.

Cheese its? Your nose is being kind to you - I think it smells far nastier. I guess its an acquired taste. 2 of my kids were on Nutramigen and it really helped alot.

Re: Question for those that switched to Nutramigen
when Madeline first started it, it did take her longer to finish her bottle. We were also putting rice in her bottles, so maybe that is why. Oh, the poops get really nasty.

that's funny b/c I though it smelled much better than the regular formula did. Weird yes, but not bad odor. We decided it at first that it smelled like barley or hops. Now I'm thinking DD burps smell like cream of mushroom soup

Re: Question for those that switched to Nutramigen
My son switched to Nutrimagen three weeks ago. He was also on enfamil with lipil. His first few bottles he also took slow & not as much. He's doing well on it now though.
