Question for those who use the Miracle Blanket or Swaddle Me at night...

OK - dumb question - but what do you do about diaper changes overnight? We tried swaddling at very beginning and he really hated it and would always get his arms out and tried it again last night and tonight. I guess my concern is is it going to make him "too awake" in the middle of the night, if I have to do a diaper change, to unswaddle and then swaddle again.
Also, do you swaddle before last feeding or after - right before you put DC down?

I used the swaddle me with all 3 of mine. I changed them RIGHT before putting them down, swaddled them, and put them down.

I never did a middle of the night changing unless they were REALLY wet.

RIght now DD goes to bed around 7:30-8:00. I will change her diaper, swaddle her and then feed her. From there, I just have to put her down and she is all set in her swaddle.

She doesn't really get up in the middle of the night anymore, but wakes up to eat around 4-5:00. When that happens, DH will take her out of the swaddle, change her diaper, swaddle her back up and give her to me to feed. THen I just put her back in the crib when she is done.

It honestly took me a while to remember what I did-DD is 9 months feels like a lifetime ago-But I dream fed her at night, like 11--I would first put her in the swaddle me from when she went down at like 8-11. I would take her out of the swaddle me,change her, feed her and then wrap her in the Miracle Blanket for the rest of the night! Sounds like a whole procedure but it worked :)

I always got them in PJs, swaddled, then, fed them and put them in bed. If they were still waking to eat, I did change them, reswaddle and then feed them. I always kept the rooms dark though, just nightlights on.

I always swaddled, fed & put her to bed. For the first few weeks, I'd unswaddle, change, feed her, reswaddle & put her back to bed in the middle of the night. Then I realized it was waking her up too much, so unless she seemed really wet, I left it until the morning. Never had a problem.

DS only likes to be in the swaddle right before I put him down. So I feed him, change him and then swaddle and then bed. The only time i would change him in the middle of the night is if he soaked through his clothes.

DD was a beast and would scream bloody murder when she woke up in the middle of the night hungry. If we tried to change her before we fed her she was inconsolable. So we would feed her, then change her, then re-swaddle her.

Once she got a little bit older (I think around 12 weeks) we stopped changing her at night unless her diaper felt really full. Sometimes when we would take the swaddle off she would wake up too much and wouldn't go back to sleep right away.
