I wanted to be married at 26 (no younger, no older ). Engagement age didn't really matter to me because if it happened before 26 I would have planned it so that I would have been married at 26 even if it meant being engaged for a few years.

I was hoping to be married by 28 with my 1st child before 30. Always said I wanted to wait at least a year before starting a family.

Reality: engaged 5 days after 30th b-day married at 31 preggo 3 months later and had Jack at 32.

I wanted to be engaged at 23, married at 25, and have my first baby at 28...well, I got engaged at 26, married at 28, no kids yet, and I'll be 31 in March

Being young, I had an unrealistic age of when I wanted to be married.

When I was about 14, I thought I would be married by 23 with 3/4 kids by the time I was 30.
Obviously I grew up and realized differently. When I was 21 I didn't think I'd be married until mid-30's.

I was engaged when I was 26, married at 28.

I thought I would be married by 24/25 and have 2 kids by 30.

I got married at 25 and I had my first child at 28.
so I am right where I thuoght I would be although no immediate plans to TTC.

I never really thought about when I'd get engaged, but I always wanted to be married at 25 and kids not a day before 30. My friends were all about being married at 23, so even then (as always) I was more laid back about marriage and kids.

I was engaged at 27 and married at 29. I'm 32 now and still no kids yet, but then again, we haven't TTC'd either.

I thought I'd at least be 28 when I got married. Then, the right guy came along, and then the right time....I got engaged at 25, married at 26 and had our first child at 27.

You know I never really thought about it when I was younger....then I met DH at 22 and we were engaged on my 26th Bday. It was supposed to be on my 25th but I quit my job.

I was married at 27 - I am 29 and no kids yet which is fine with me. On the other hand I never realized how quickly 30 creeps up on you!

I was almost exactly on schedule.

When I was in HS, I wanted to meet someone around 22, date for 5 years and I didn't want to have kids before 30.

I met DH at 23, dated 5 years and I had Jordana when I was 30.

So pretty much dead on accurate.

However, when I was in elementry school, i thought I would be married with kids by 25 and we would have to decide to live either on the moon or underwater.

I was looking at my HS yearbook the other day and there was a question that asked "Where will you be in 10 years?" I said I would be married married with 2 kids at 27.

I got married when I was 27, had my first child at 28 and will have #2 at 29 two weeks shy of my 30th b-day.

I always thought i'd be married in my mid 20's and I just got married at 26 yrs old.

I always wanted to be a young mom too... but we're waiting on that a little longer.

When I was 18, I met my 1st fiance. I "wanted" to be married before I was 21 (thank God I dodged that bullet). I came across my old diary the other day and it said I wanted 5 kids! The relationship ended before I was 21 and that's when I met my STBX-husband.

My life plan had engaged at 24, married at 26 (I only like life milestones to occur during even-numbered years ), and we did just that.

I also wanted to finish my doctorate by the time I turn 30 (I'm on track to graduate at 29), and have a girl baby at 32 and a boy at 35.

When you were on or younger than 18, how old did you think you would be when you got engaged and then married? And how old were you actually when it happened/or how old are you now?

When I was around 18 and even when I was 21, I SWORE I wouldn't be married until AT LEAST 30, I could see myself maybe getting engaged at that point. Career was too important and I didn't see how the two could possible go together.

I was engaged at 23, and married at 25 There went that plan.

I didn't think about it much. I knew I would not be married in my 20s or even early 30s. I was married at 37.

27 when I got engaged.
28 when I married.

I'm kind of on track. I always thought I'd be married around 25 and I was married at 26. I thought I'd have 2 kids by time I was 30 though - I had my first when I was 27, but as I'm approaching 30 (gulp - in 4 months), there is no #2 on his/her way yet... So I figured if it happens in my 30th year, I'd still be on track!

I also swore I'd never marry or have kids! Actually, I said I would get married when I was "like old, ya know?" Meaning 40ish (I no longer think that's old! ) I said I would only get married when I was "old" that way I'd have a life-long companion in my old-age!

I was engaged at 26 and married at 28. Now I want a child around 31 (I'll be 30 in 5 months).

How things change!

swore i would be in my 30's when i even thought about marriage.

i got engaged @ 23 and married @ 25.

I used to say I wanted to get married young...straight out of high school...mind you I didn't even have a boyfriend at the time.

I ended up getting married at 32 (way past HS!!) but it was definitely the right decision.

As for kids, I used to think I wanted a lot, now I think I'll be okay with just one if it ever happens!
