Question on tanning?
Is it just me ...or do you think that a tan makes people look older? A friend of mine is 35 but when she is tan it just makes her look so much older. Just wondering.

it depends... I've seen people look both older and younger. it will ultimately make you look older. my aunt used to be a sun worshipper and her skin is like leather now

My cousin is obsessed with tanning. Since she was 15, she's at the beach at 9am and doesn't leave until sunset. She skips Dr.'s appointments if the sun is out and uses olive oil. She can't get any darker. At 43, people think she is in her 20's. So, I think it just depends on the person.

i think excessive tanning can make you look older. but i think a nice bronze color is nice and keeps you youthful looking.

I'm pretty tan year round- and most people think I am 10 years younger then I am
I wear sunblock- but that is just my natural skin color- I happen to like it and use self tanner in the winter

Sometimes! A little color on most people makes them look younger.
Now, the people who look older are the ones who have been tanning everyday their whole lives, and are way too dark. This eventually ages your skin and a tan just doesn't look good on certain people any more.
For me, I think I look better and younger with a tan. I don't tan in the winter and I hate how white I am, but I know a tanning bed year round is not good for a persons skin, so I stay away.
