Question re: post c-section weight loss
for ladies who had a c-section - how long after delivery did you stop looking like you were a little bit pregnant? I am 2.5 weeks post partum and definitely have what looks like a little pregnant belly and would really like to not look pregnant anymore! please tell me there is hope...

Re: Question re: post c-section weight loss
Yes, there is hope. I felt the same way too! I asked the same question on here. I think when you have a c-section, it is harder to lose the weight right away.
I was swollen for weeks! I went back to work after my LO was 3 months old.
I wasn't able to get back into my work clothes for 6 months. Thats isn't with dieting though. I think if I tried to diet, it would have been faster. I walked righ tinto the holidays and I ate like, a pig!
I still have 7 pounds I haven't lost, but I feel soooo much better.
I think it takes a long time to recover from a c-section. It was very difficult for me.
Feel good and don't stress out about it. Your a Mommy now and it was all worth it!

Re: Question re: post c-section weight loss
it took about 6 months for my stomach to be completey flat again - and that is with exercising beginning 7 weeks post partum. i have pics showing the progression in my twin pregnancy album. but even now i get bloated so easily... my ab muscles are spread apart (from pregnancy - not c-section).

Re: Question re: post c-section weight loss
I am 4.5 months pp and my stomach is pretty flat in the am and as the day goes on I definitely get bloated. I need to do more ab strengthening. I still have about 6 or 7 lbs to loose though.

Re: Question re: post c-section weight loss
I lost all the weight and then a few pounds and just today at 10 weeks pp, someone asked me if I was pregnant
Guess thats what happens after c-section #3 with an almost 12 pound baby
It will go down, but it takes some time unfortunately

Re: Question re: post c-section weight loss
For me losing the weight isnt the issue... I gained 43lbs and at 1 month PP was down well over 30lbs. But with DS #1 it took me about 6 months for the belly to not look 3 months preggo. This time I am only 6 weeks PP and still have that belly! Drives me nuts but I havent started trying.

Re: Question re: post c-section weight loss
im right there with you. im 2 weeks post partum and i look about 5 months pregnant still. i lost 17 of the 33lbs that I gained from pregnancy so i was hoping the stomach would look flatter sooner...
my entire abdomen under my belly button is still very tender. its really above my incision too. i think its because i had an anterior placenta that grew into my uterus and the doctors had a hard time detaching it and i lost a lot of blood. the whole area is still extremely sore!!

Re: Question re: post c-section weight loss
About a month after I could hide it in clothes. Took about 10 weeks to look semi normal again. I was very swollen, lots of water weight so it took a while.
