Question re: recalled Britax
We have the Britax Boulevard - but ours was manufactured in Jan of 2006. The recalled carseats were manuactured from March 2006 through August 2006.
Do you think I should return my car seat anyway> Im really concerned about it...

They probably won't take it as it's not a part of the recall. I would say if it's not part of it, it's fine.

You can call in the numbers in on the carseat(if you can find them). And Mrs. J mine was manufactured in Dec 05 so I think we are good but it doesn't hurt to call.

The numbers you will need on the car seat (the serial no. batch no. &mauf date) are on the inside part of the seat (if your seat is behind the passenger seat). You just have to lift up the cover a little bit.
So I called them and they told me that although my seat is part of the recall it doesn't really effect me b/c my Acura MDX has a limit of 40lbs on the LATCH system and the top tether. The recall says to stop using the top tether at 50lbs. In other words, when my son reaches 40lbs I have to discontinue the use of the LATCH system and tether and use the car seat to strap in the seat. So I wouldn't have been using the top tether by the time the recall comes into play. I hope I'm explaining this well, it's kind of cofusing to write down.
I did ream them out for not sending me notification although I had registered with them when I bought the car seat

ditto for me.
There should be a sticker or an imprint on the underpart of any carseat with the date of manufacture & serial #.
ETA: Are they even recalling them?? It sounds like they are just telling you that it wont support a child over 50 lbs with the top tether.

Liz, they're calling it a "recall" but in fact it's not. They are just telling you not to use the tether after 50lbs.

I called today. If it was made in January of 2006 it does not have the problem and you should keep on using it.

I had to bump this. I called Acura to confirm what Britax had told me (read my post above) and Acura told me that what Britax told me is completely inaccurate. I called Britax and the woman (the same one I spoke to last time) and she swears up and down that Acura's limit is 40lbs. So I said which Acura, what year. She says all Acuras. HOW COULD THAT BE When I asked for her name, she wouldn't give it to me So I said to her I bought THIS car seat because I thought it would be able to use the latch system and tether UPTO 65 lbs not 50. So what is Britax going to do about that. She says she can take down my no. and have her supervisor call me back. UMMM, NOT THANKS! So I got his number and extension and am on hold right now.
***? I am sooo ****** off and will NEVER buy anything Britax again
